Ivy Moon Property Services
Practical renovation control and property consultancy built on real project, asset-management and hands-on residential experience.
Straight-talking support for homeowners, landlords and purpose-led housing partners.
The beautiful finish matters. But the nuts, bolts, numbers and decisions are what keep a project alive.
Ivy Moon exists to make property work feel less chaotic. It brings commercial-grade project thinking into the real world of houses, budgets, trades, deadlines and the decisions that can quietly derail a renovation.
That means clear scope, controlled costs, useful records and sensible conversations — without drowning people in jargon or pretending every property behaves perfectly.
What Ivy Moon does
Focused support for people who need clarity around property projects, from the first scope through to final handover.
Structure for owners who need to turn a long list of jobs into a controlled, accountable project.
Independent, practical thinking for homeowners and landlords facing complicated property decisions.
Resources that help owners manage projects with more confidence and a much better paper trail.
The Renovation Control Book
Written for homeowners and property renovators who want more than inspiration. The book shows how to define the work, compare quotes, control changes, monitor progress, organise evidence and reach handover without losing sight of the budget.
“I started Ivy Moon to turn years of property and project experience into something that created independence for my family — and useful, honest support for other people.”
About the founder
Katherine trained in architectural interior design, but graduated into a recession that was hitting the design and construction world hard. The supposedly less glamorous side of property — the real bread-and-butter work — kept her employed and became the foundation of a career spanning architectural technology, senior project management, asset management and major property programmes.
Alongside commercial experience managing complex projects and multimillion-pound budgets, Katherine established Ivy Moon Property Services and developed hands-on residential renovation experience. On one purchase she had not even been inside the property before buying it; the risk was controlled by identifying the likely problems and pricing them before committing.
As a single mum, Ivy Moon was created as more than a side project. It was a route towards greater independence and financial resilience — work that could grow into something capable of supporting the household in its own right.
The Ivy Moon method
Be clear about the outcome, the scope and what is deliberately excluded.
Build a cost plan that includes risk, change and the things people usually forget.
Track decisions, dates, payments, variations and quality while they still matter.
Finish with evidence, manuals, certificates, defects resolved and records intact.
The next phase
Ivy Moon is developing additional services around the same principle: find the right property, understand the risk, manage the work and create a sustainable outcome.
A planned service for identifying suitable residential opportunities and connecting owners or investors with charities, support providers and purpose-led housing partners. The regulated and compliance framework will be completed before launch.
A planned managed route for scoping, outsourcing and monitoring residential maintenance work, with transparent responsibilities and fees.
